Dataset for the manuscripts: Why do models go wrong? The importance of adaptations and acclimations in driving landscape-level spectral variation and Spectral landscape ecology of a foundation tree speciestraining_points_2021_table and training_points_2022_table are the canopy spectra of P. fremontii across the study sites in Arizona and Utah/Colorado, respectively. Species code represents whether it represents P. fremontii (1) or other (0). xl_poly category represents the site (17 sites total). Environmental data for each point is included.site_env_data and site_env_comparisons are the environmental data for each site. The comparisons table is a pairwise comparison between each of the 17 sites.
本数据集配套于两篇学术手稿:《模型为何出错?适应性与驯化对景观尺度光谱变异的驱动重要性》以及《优势树种的光谱景观生态学》。其中,training_points_2021_table与training_points_2022_table分别对应亚利桑那州、犹他州/科罗拉多州研究样地内弗里蒙特杨(P. fremontii)的冠层光谱数据。物种编码(Species code)用于标记样本所属类别:取值为1时代表弗里蒙特杨(P. fremontii),取值为0时代表其他物种。xl_poly分类(xl_poly category)用于标识研究样地,本数据集共计包含17个样地。每个采样点的环境数据均已包含在数据集中。site_env_data与site_env_comparisons分别存储各研究样地的环境数据,其中对比表(comparisons table)为17个样地间的两两配对对比数据集。
