An X indicates an invalid comparison of a trait to itself while an equals sign (=) denotes same direction of allelic effect between the associated region in the alternative trait within treatments or alternative treatment within traits (e.g., a positive change in the focal trait is associated with a positive change in the other trait), while ≠ denotes a change in the direction of allelic effect (e.g., a positive change in the focal trait is associated with a negative change in the other trait). Marker IDs have been truncated to remove “HanXRQ,” for clarity.
