With the aim of test the effect of plant host genetic diversity in the structure and composition of the microbial communities in the rhizosphere, we followed a common garden experiment including five wild cotton populations, controlling for plant genotypes, environmental conditions and soil microbial community inoculum, and statistically test for differences in the microbial communities associated with genetic variation of the plant hosts.

为检验植物宿主遗传多样性对根际(rhizosphere)微生物群落结构与组成的影响,本研究开展了一项共同花园实验,纳入5个野生棉花种群,严格控制植物基因型、环境条件与土壤微生物接种物,并通过统计学方法检验与植物宿主遗传变异相关的微生物群落差异。
