Research Materials for a Qualitative Study of Metamotivation and Directed Motivational Currents

This repository contains supplementary research materials associated with a qualitative investigation of metamotivational monitoring and regulation during Directed Motivational Currents (DMCs) in English language learning. An initial screening questionnaire in English and Farsi designed around the defining characteristics of DMCs. A semi-structured interview protocol exploring learners' experiences of intense and sustained motivation. A semi-structured interview protocol examining metamotivational monitoring and regulation. Illustrative anonymized participant quotations documenting the three core components of DMCs: goal-directedness, salient facilitative structure, and positive emotionality. These materials are shared to promote methodological transparency and facilitate scholarly examination of the research procedures and findings.
