Gut microbiome is implicated in host inflammation response and hormone metabolism during pregnancy and lactation in goats

To investigate the dynamics of goat gut microbiota in pregnancy and lactation progression, we collected 126 feces samples from 18 goats during pregnancy and lactation. We sequenced the amplicons of the V3 and V4 regions of 16S rRNA genes of goat feces samples.
