Digitizing and Disseminating Historical Board of Fisheries Documents and Commercial Fisheries News Releases

Project staff contacted statewide (HQ) and regional staff regarding the status of historical commercial fisheries news releases in their local inventory. Staff provided either paper or digital copies of news releases that were published prior to 2010. Offices were contacted opportunistically depending on the fishing season and staff availability. When available, staff also provided copies of emergency orders and fishery updates. In total, 6,922 News Releases spanning from 1975 to 2009, 4,896 Emergency Orders spanning from 1975 to 1999, and 376 fishery updates spanning from 2006 to 2008 were digitized. ADF&G will continue to add to this repository over time as more historical News Releases are scanned in remote field offices. Documents and associated metadata are currently stored on the ADF&G network and on an internal Sharepoint document library. The releases will be made available via the ADF&G website.

项目组工作人员联系了全州范围（总部，HQ）及区域级工作人员，核查其本地馆藏中历史商业渔业新闻稿的留存情况。工作人员提供了2010年之前发布的新闻稿的纸质或数字副本。本次联络各办公室的工作将结合渔季周期与工作人员的可排班情况，择机开展。若有留存，工作人员还可提供紧急命令与渔业更新文件的副本。本次共完成数字化处理的资料包括：1975年至2009年期间发布的6922份新闻稿、1975年至1999年期间发布的4896份紧急命令，以及2006年至2008年期间发布的376份渔业更新文件。未来，随着偏远野外办公室扫描到更多历史新闻稿，ADF&G将持续向该资料库补充内容。目前，所有文档及相关元数据均存储于ADF&G内部网络及内部Sharepoint文档库中。后续将通过ADF&G官方网站向公众开放这批资料。
