The study aims at exploring the interaction among microplastics made of different polymers, a common contaminant, polychlorinated biphenile, PCB, and the environmental microbial communities, in a submerged marine sediment. We established a field lab by incubating bothpristine and PCB-contaminated plastic fragments in a salt marsh anoxic sediment, to observe the stages of plastisphere formation by16S rRNA gene sequencing.
本研究旨在探究不同聚合物基微塑料、一类常见污染物多氯联苯(Polychlorinated Biphenyl, PCB)与海洋沉积环境微生物群落之间的相互作用。我们通过在盐沼缺氧沉积物中孵育未受污染与多氯联苯污染的塑料碎片,建立了野外实验体系,并借助16S rRNA基因测序技术观测塑料圈(plastisphere)的形成阶段。
