We investigated the effects of BAC treatment on the gut microbiome by metagenomic sequencing . We collected mice fecal samples at the beginning of the experiment (i.e. baseline) and on the last day of DSS treatment . As expected, in comparison to the healthy mice (i.e. control group), we observed substantial shifts in the composition of the murine gut microbiome after DSS treatment (i.e. DSS group), such as a decrease in Muribaculum.

本研究通过宏基因组测序（metagenomic sequencing）技术，探究了BAC处理对小鼠肠道菌群的影响。我们在实验起始阶段（即基线样本）以及硫酸葡聚糖钠（Dextran Sulfate Sodium，DSS）处理的最后一日采集了小鼠粪便样本。正如预期，与健康对照组小鼠相比，经DSS处理的小鼠（即DSS组）肠道菌群组成发生了显著改变，例如Muribaculum菌属的丰度出现下降。
