CER_GEO_Ed4_MTS02_NH_V01.2 is the Satellite Cloud and Radiation Property retrieval System (SatCORPS) Clouds and the Earth's Radiant Energy System (CERES) Geostationary Satellite (GEO) Edition 4 Multi-functional Transport Satellite 2 (MTSAT-2) over the Northern Hemisphere (NH) Version 1.2 data product. Data was collected using the MTSAT-2 Imager on the MTSAT-2 Platform.
Note: Version 1.2 is identical to version 1.0. No changes have been made to the retrieval algorithm.
This data set comprises cloud micro-physical and radiation properties derived hourly from MTSAT-2 geostationary satellite imager data using the Langley Research Center (LaRC) SATCORPS algorithms supporting the CERES project. The data set is arranged as files for each hour in netCDF-4 format. The observations are at 4 km resolution (at nadir) and are sub-sampled to 8 km (taking every other line and pixel).

本数据集包含由支持CERES项目的兰利研究中心(Langley Research Center,缩写LaRC)的SatCORPS算法,从MTSAT-2静止卫星成像仪数据中每小时反演得到的云微物理特性与辐射特性。数据集按小时归档为netCDF-4格式文件。观测数据的星下点分辨率为4千米,并被下采样至8千米(即每隔一行与一个像素进行采样)。
