The most widely used commercial vaccine is a modified-live vaccine Enterisol that is delivered orally to pigs and offer some degree of protection. The genetic basis behind the attenuation of the vaccine strain is not understood. The aim of this work is to conduct a comprehensive genomic comparison of a live-attenuated vaccine Enterisol and pathogenic strains of US and EU.

目前应用最为广泛的商用疫苗为口服接种于猪群的减毒活疫苗(modified-live vaccine)Enterisol,其可提供一定程度的免疫保护。目前尚未明确该疫苗毒株致弱的遗传基础。本研究旨在对该减毒活疫苗Enterisol与美国、欧盟的致病菌株开展全面的基因组比较分析。
