The data includes the characteristics of tidal inundation on the surface of the salt marsh by monitoring and the response of Suaeda salsa to different inundation characteristics. We integrated high-temporal-resolution field monitoring (10-min intervals) in the Yellow River Delta (YRD) with controlled indoor experiments using the keystone species S. salsa. A Fortran-based algorithm was developed to extract discrete tidal event characteristics from monitoring data across an elevation range of 0.8 to 1.4 m (at 0.05 m increments). The indoor experiments simulated various inundation regimes—varying in depth, duration, and frequency—to quantify their impacts on seed emergence, seedling survival, and growth.
