Leverett-Glacier Subglacial Runoff metagenome

The Leverett Glacier (LG) drains a large (>600 km2) subglacial catchment of the Greenland Ice Sheet in South West Greenland. During the 2015 melt season, a series of LG runoff samples were filtered in order to study the microbial diversity of the subglacial environment, to help infer on the roles of microbes on subglacial biogeochemical processes beneath ice sheets.

莱弗勒特冰川（Leverett Glacier, LG）地处格陵兰西南部，其径流补给来自格陵兰冰盖一处面积超过600平方千米的大型冰下集水区。2015年融冰季期间，研究团队为探究冰下环境的微生物多样性、解析冰下微生物在冰盖底部生物地球化学过程中所发挥的作用，采集了一系列该冰川的径流样本并完成过滤处理。
