Farm animals are a natural reservoir of commensal and pathogenic Escherichia coli strains with high zoonotic potential. Here, we present 5 complete genome sequences of E. coli strains obtained from healthy animals and animals with colisepticemia from industrial and private farms in Russia. We report a wide distribution of virulence-associated (VAGs) and antibiotic-resistance genes (ARGs) in genomes of the sequenced E. coli strains.
