Circular Economy Business Case Calculator

The CE Business Case Calculator is an Excel-based tool designed to support companies in the economic evaluation of Circular Economy business models. It enables a structured and transparent assessment of financial viability by modelling revenue streams as well as CapEx and OpEx components in detail. The tool provides a clear and visually intuitive graphical output that can be exported as a two-page PDF, making it suitable for internal decision-making and management presentations. Developed within the framework of the R-evolve project by the Wuppertal Institute, the calculators current version (v1.0) covers the following circular business models: Repair, Reuse, Refurbishment, Remanufacturing, Repurpose, Rental and Recycling. Additional functionalities and business models are planned for future development. Please note that this is an early version of the tool. While it has been carefully developed and tested, minor errors cannot be entirely excluded. We take no responsibilities in any errors or miscalculations that may occur and decisions taken based on the output.
