The ability of ticks to survive extended periods between blood meals is dependent on their remarkable tolerance of starvation. Little is known about the underlying aspects associated with starvation survival in ticks. In this study, we examined the response of the American dog tick to starvation using RNA-seq to monitor changes in gene expression.蜱虫在两次吸血间隔中实现长时间存活的能力，源于其卓越的饥饿耐受特性。目前学界对于调控蜱虫饥饿存活的内在机制仍知之甚少。本研究中，我们采用RNA测序（RNA-seq）技术监测基因表达变化，以此探究美洲犬蜱对饥饿胁迫的响应。
