Analysis code and bibliographic data for "Mapping Public Trust in Food and Agricultural Technologies: A Scoping Review of the Social License to Operate"

This deposit provides the reproducible analysis code and the raw bibliographic search exports underlying the scoping review "Mapping Public Trust in Food and Agricultural Technologies: A Scoping Review of the Social License to Operate." The review maps how Social License to Operate (SLO) concepts have been applied across food and agricultural technologies—including genetically modified organisms, gene editing, cultured meat, precision livestock farming, and digital agriculture. Contents slo_scoping_analysis.R — a single, end-to-end R script that ingests the two database exports, de-duplicates records (by DOI then normalised title), applies a transparent rule-based eligibility screen, performs reproducible keyword-dictionary coding of titles and abstracts onto eight candidate themes, runs two pre-specified sensitivity analyses, and writes a PRISMA-ScR count ledger, summary tables, and publication-quality figures. savedrecs.txt — Web of Science (All Collections) export, tagged plain-text format. scopus_export_*.csv — Scopus export, CSV format. Records were retrieved from Web of Science Core Collection and Scopus on 8 June 2026, covering 1 January 2000 – 8 June 2026, restricted to English-language peer-reviewed sources; the search yielded 258 included studies. The exact Boolean search strings and the eight-theme codebook are documented in the script and in the manuscript's Supplementary Materials. Reuse. Place the script alongside the two export files and run Rscript slo_scoping_analysis.R with R ≥ 4.2 (validated on 4.6.0) and the packages listed in the README; all outputs are written to ./slo_outputs/. Analyses are deterministic apart from a fixed-seed network layout. The optional geographic analysis additionally requires full-text files, which are not included for copyright reasons. License.
