CsHB1, a HD-Zip II transcription factor, positively promotes somatic embryogenesis in Citrus

In this study, a citrus HD-ZIP II transcription factor CsHB1 was identified. Functional characterization showed that overexpression of CsHB1 significantly enhance the SE capability of citrus unshiu 'guoqing No 1' through reorganization the cellular process and developmental pathways. Moreover, a large number genes that are differentially expressed in overexpression CsHB1 lines versus wild-type by RNA-seq, the results showed that CsHB1 could control a large regulatory transcription factors and modulate the chlorophyll metabolic level that might involve in the citrus somatic embryogenesis process.
本研究鉴定得到一个柑橘HD-ZIP II类转录因子CsHB1。功能表征实验结果显示,过表达CsHB1可通过重构细胞进程与发育通路,显著提升温州蜜柑(Citrus unshiu)'国庆1号'的体细胞胚发生(Somatic Embryogenesis,SE)能力。此外,通过RNA测序(RNA-seq)分析过表达CsHB1株系与野生型株系间的差异表达基因,结果表明CsHB1可调控大量调控型转录因子,并调节叶绿素代谢水平,该过程可能参与柑橘体细胞胚发生进程。
