Manure-dwelling mesostigmatid mites from layer-farm buildings. Bioptipou1

The poultry red mite (PRM) Dermanyssus gallinae is a hematophagous mite of economic importance in the poultry industry. Because PRM lives off-host in habitats potentially shared by many micropredators, biocontrol agents have potential to regulate this pest in poultry buildingsof the special micropredatory habits of PRM, biocontrol agents are very likely to efficiently regulate this pest in hen layer buildings. The present pilot study was conducted to obtain a first insight into predatory and parasitoid arthropod communities that naturally occur on layer farms. A morpho-molecular approach was used to characterize the taxonomic composition of manure-dwelling arthropod communities, with a focus on mesostigmatid mites, that naturally occur in French, free-range layer farms.

家禽红螨（poultry red mite, PRM），学名鸡皮刺螨（Dermanyssus gallinae），是一种对家禽养殖业具有重要经济价值的吸血螨类。由于PRM营游离宿主生活，其栖息生境可被众多微捕食者共享，因此生物防治因子具备在家禽舍内调控该害虫的潜力。鉴于PRM特殊的微捕食习性，生物防治因子极有望在蛋鸡舍中高效管控这一害虫。本预试验研究旨在首次探明蛋鸡养殖场自然存在的捕食性与寄生性节肢动物群落。研究采用形态学-分子生物学联合方法，对法国散养蛋鸡养殖场中自然栖息的、以中气门螨类为重点类群的粪生节肢动物群落的分类学组成进行了表征。
