Underwater images of Mayotte reefs, N'Gouja, colony 11 Porites lutea, Future Maore Reefs (FMR)

This dataset is the result of a fieldwork conducted at Mayotte island, over-sea French territory. Mayotte is part of the Comoros archipelago located northward in the Mozambique Channel, western Indian Ocean (WIO). Five well-developed coral reef ecosystems (Aéroport International, Île Blanche, Jolly Roger, N'Gouja, Surprise) representing fringing (F) and inner patch reefs (IPR) within 2-8m depth were sampled during ten field trips between october 2021 and september 2025.本数据集源自法国海外领地马约特岛开展的野外科考工作。马约特岛地处西印度洋莫桑比克海峡北部，隶属于科摩罗群岛。在2021年10月至2025年9月期间开展的十次野外考察中，研究人员对5处发育完好的珊瑚礁生态系统完成了样本采集：这些礁体涵盖岸礁（fringing reef, F）与内部斑块礁（inner patch reefs, IPR），分布于2至8米水深区间，具体采样点位包括Aéroport International、Île Blanche、Jolly Roger、N'Gouja及Surprise。
