"This dataset contains experimental data collected from human participants during a study on the safety effects of signal light projections with directional indicators. The data was acquired through quantitative and qualitative evaluations conducted in both simulated virtual reality (VR) environments and real-world field tests.The study investigated the impact of signal light projections on drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians across six distinct scenarios, which included variations in projection angle and length. The dataset encompasses diverse measurements related to vehicle perception time, time to collision (TTC), driving speed, and participant feedback on safety, visibility, helpfulness, distraction, and glare.Researchers can use this dataset to further analyze human perception and behavior in response to novel automotive lighting systems, contributing to advancements in road safety for VRUs."
