Role of FGF-2 induced non-coding RNA in cancer [II]. Role of FGF-2 induced non-coding RNA in cancer [II]

We show that IER3 and IER3-AS1 protein coding and non-coding genes mediates oncogenic properties in cancer cell lines when they are induced by FGF-2 which is fibroblast growth factor. Comprehensive analysis of mechanisms behind the regulation of these genes by FGF-2 induction is shown in this study. Overall design: Characterization of FGF-2 regulated transcriptome in immortalized human embryonic kidney cells HEK293 and cancer cell lines such as HeLa and BT-549 in order to identify common and uniquely enriched FGF-2 regulated differentially expressed genes and biological pathways.

本研究证实，在成纤维细胞生长因子（fibroblast growth factor，FGF-2）诱导下，IER3与IER3-AS1这对蛋白编码基因与非编码基因可介导癌细胞系的致癌特性。本研究针对FGF-2诱导调控上述基因的潜在分子机制开展了全面解析。
整体实验设计：通过对永生化人胚肾细胞HEK293及HeLa、BT-549等癌细胞系中FGF-2调控的转录组进行表征分析，以鉴定受FGF-2调控的共有及特异性富集差异表达基因与生物学通路。
