elevated expression of genes involved in antioxidant activity, protein phosphorylation, carbohydrate, cell wall and lipid metabolism, which were crucial for the tolerance of C. limon. This study indicates that enhanced activity of antioxidant enzymes (SOD, CAT, APX) leads to de-creased ROS accumulation, PCD and MDA content which can potentially mitigate the HLB symptoms in lemon.
