This study explores the relationships among empathy, anxiety, and the tendency of defensive-pessimism-strategy usage (DP tendency) in Japanese university students within academic and friendship contexts. Utilizing a scenario-based method, a survey was conducted with 70 students, and data from 43 with high DP tendencies were analyzed. Results reveal that empathetic fantasy significantly influences DP tendencies. Additionally, trait anxiety impacts DP tendencies, while the effect of state anxiety varies across situations. A moderate correlation is found for DP tendencies between the two settings. The discussion delves into the cognitive aspects of empathy and cultural influences on DP tendencies among participants.

本研究旨在探讨日本大学生在学术与交友两类情境中，共情（empathy）、焦虑（anxiety）以及防御性悲观策略使用倾向（DP tendency）三者间的内在关联。本研究采用情境模拟法对70名大学生开展问卷调查，并对其中43名DP倾向较高者的数据进行分析。结果显示，共情想象（empathetic fantasy）对DP倾向具有显著影响；此外，特质焦虑（trait anxiety）对DP倾向存在影响，而状态焦虑（state anxiety）的影响则因情境不同而存在差异。两类情境下的DP倾向呈现中等程度的相关关系。讨论部分深入剖析了共情的认知维度，以及文化因素对被试DP倾向的影响。
