NSW Emergency Department Data Collection

The Emergency Department Data Collection (EDDC) is an administrative data collection that contains de-identified, demographic, administrative and clinical data detailing presentations to Emergency Departments (ED) at public metropolitan hospitals in New South Wales.

The EDDC is based on the "Non-admitted Patient Emergency Department Care‟ National Minimum Data Set (NMDS). Each record in the collection represents a presentation to the emergency department of a public hospital. The diagnoses in the EDDC are recorded by medical, nursing or clerical personnel at the point of care.
