Carbon source is the basic nutrition and is essential for yeast growth. We grew the yeast cells (BY4741 strain) under different carbon sources including glucose with different concentration, galactose and raffinose. We generated bulk-cell RNA-seq data and investigated the dynamics of gene expression profiles under different growth conditions. We also generated single-cell RNA-seq data for yeast cells under 2% glucose, and explored the heterogeneity of gene expression within a cell population. Overall design: Saccharomyces cerevisiae BY4741 strain was used. The bulk-cell RNA-seq and single-cell RNA-seq data were generated for yeast cells under different growth media.

碳源是酵母菌生长不可或缺的基础营养物质。本研究以酿酒酵母(Saccharomyces cerevisiae)BY4741菌株为实验材料,在包含不同浓度葡萄糖、半乳糖及棉子糖在内的多种碳源条件下培养酵母细胞。我们获取了批量细胞RNA测序(bulk-cell RNA-seq)数据,分析了不同培养条件下基因表达谱的动态变化;同时针对2%葡萄糖培养条件下的酵母细胞生成了单细胞RNA测序(single-cell RNA-seq)数据,探究了细胞群体内的基因表达异质性。实验整体设计:本研究采用酿酒酵母BY4741菌株,对不同培养基培养的酵母细胞生成了批量RNA测序与单细胞RNA测序数据。
