Corynebacterium pilosum has veterinary and economic importance because it causes urinary tract infection in bovines. This bacterium is found in all the world, most of the reported cases belongs to Japan, with cause significant losses due high cost treatment, as well as, the nonexistence of specific diagnostics tests. In this work, we present the genome sequence of Corynebacterium pilosum strain CIP103422 isolated from bovine.

毛棒杆菌（Corynebacterium pilosum）具有兽医与经济方面的重要性，因其可引发牛的尿路感染。该菌在全球范围内均有分布，现有报道的感染病例绝大多数来自日本；由于治疗成本高昂且缺乏特异性诊断检测手段，该病造成了重大经济损失。本研究报道了一株从牛体内分离得到的毛棒杆菌CIP103422菌株的全基因组序列。
