Minutes of Meeting: Governing Board, 27 October 2020

Minutes of the 71st IFLA Governing Board meeting held on 27 October 2020 via teleconference. The Board approved minutes from the September meeting and resolved to revise the numbering system for future meetings. Key governance discussions included approval of the draft IFLA Statutes with amendments, withdrawal of Motion 12.2 in favor of new provisions for remote voting, and updates to the Rules of Procedure regarding vote counting and chairing the General Assembly. The Board planned for an extraordinary General Assembly in February 2021, with provisions for virtual participation under the Dutch Emergency Act. Additional updates were provided on WLIC 2021 preparations and the Regional Council process. The meeting concluded with scheduling of upcoming sessions.
