Observations of 58 Atlantic Water intrusion events along Sermilik Trough, Southeast Greenland from 2010-2013. The intrusions were manually identified using Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) visible (MOD09 - MODIS/Terra Atmospherically Corrected Surface Reflectance 5-Min L2 Swath 250m, MYD09 - MODIS/Aqua Atmospherically Corrected Surface Reflectance 5-Min L2 Swath 250m) and thermal (MODIS_A-JPL-L2P-v2014.0, MODIS_T-JPL-L2P-v2014.0) imagery and were identified to be caused by coastal trapped waves interacting with continental shelf bathymetry and often were associated with upwelling-favorable alongshore winds along the coastline. Dates for those sightings were recorded in this dataset along with the timing of the transition from downwelling to upwelling-favorable winds (initiating the intrusions) recorded from ERA-5 reanalysis 10 m wind stress. We include other information about the intrusions as well.
