This project investigated how the host plant diet and locality affects the microbiome of larvae of the melon fly (Z. cucurbitae) derived from semi-wild populations and especially focused on how a shift from a conventional cucurbit host plant to a unconventional Solanaceae host plant affected larval microbiomes. The project used 16S rRNA metagenomics to investigate the microbiome structure and composition of the larval microbiomes (F1) and the microbiomes of the adults of the parental generation (F0).

本研究旨在探明寄主植物食性与采样地点对源自半野生种群的瓜实蝇(Z. cucurbitae)幼虫微生物组的调控作用,并重点解析从常规葫芦科寄主植物转换至非常规茄科寄主植物时,幼虫微生物组所产生的变化。本研究采用16S rRNA宏基因组学技术,对子一代(F1)幼虫微生物组以及亲本世代(F0)成虫微生物组的结构与组成展开了分析。
