We used LC-MS/MS based proteomics to identify changes in protein expression in the the female and male mouse hippocampus at 1, 2, and 4 months of age. This proteomics dataset was correlated with an accompanying mRNA dataset to identify genes that show mRNA changes in a different direction that their respective proteins. A modest correlation was found between mRNA and protein abundance in the mouse hippocampus (spearman rank coefficient = 0.53).
本研究采用基于液相色谱-串联质谱(LC-MS/MS)的蛋白质组学技术,对1月龄、2月龄及4月龄的雌性与雄性小鼠海马体的蛋白质表达变化进行鉴定。本研究将该蛋白质组学数据集与配套的信使RNA(mRNA)数据集进行关联分析,以筛选出mRNA表达变化方向与其对应蛋白质表达变化方向相反的基因。小鼠海马体中mRNA丰度与蛋白质丰度间存在中等程度的相关性(斯皮尔曼秩相关系数为0.53)。
