Melchiorre Cesarotti

Melchiorre Cesarotti (1730-1821) was a teacher and later became lecturer of Greek and Hebrew at the University of Padua. He organised cultural meetings in his house, hosting a lot of famous poets and men of letters of his time. He won the title of 'outstanding professor', a qualification only given to distinguished lecturers.梅尔基奥雷·塞萨罗蒂（Melchiorre Cesarotti，1730—1821）早年以教师为业，后受聘于帕多瓦大学（University of Padua）担任希腊语与希伯来语讲师。他常在自家宅邸举办文化聚会，接待同时代诸多知名诗人与文人雅士，并荣获“杰出教授”称号，该荣誉仅授予学识卓越的讲师。
