CEWAF-exposed Florida pompano fish F1 generation: spawn and hatch

This project was undertaken to evaluate the viability, fertility, hatch success and larval survival of Florida Pompano fish upon exposure to chemically enhanced water accommodated fraction (CEWAF) of south Louisiana crude oil and Corexit 9500. At least one parent of the adult fish were similarly exposed to CEWAF of south Louisiana crude oil and Corexit 9500. Hence, this generation of fish were exposed to CEWAF in tanks for a specified period of time and evaluated in terms of total viable eggs, percentage of eggs that were fertilized, the percentage of fertilized eggs that hatched and the percentage of survival.

本项目旨在评估佛罗里达鲳鲹（Florida Pompano）暴露于南路易斯安那原油与Corexit 9500的化学增强型水容纳组分（chemically enhanced water accommodated fraction，CEWAF）后，其生存能力、繁殖力、孵化成功率及幼体存活率。成年鱼的至少一方亲本曾暴露于南路易斯安那原油与Corexit 9500的CEWAF。因此，该代鱼在水箱中暴露于CEWAF特定时长后，研究人员对其总存活卵数、卵受精率、受精卵孵化率及存活率进行了评估。
