This study investigates the effects of long-term fertilization treatments on soil microbial community functions and life history strategies, based on metatranscriptomic data from soil samples under different fertilization regimes. Through metatranscriptomic sequencing, we revealed the differential regulation of microbial gene expression by various fertilization practices, including organic, chemical, and combined fertilization. The focus was on examining the relationship between soil resource availability, pH changes, and microbial life history strategies (e.g., Y, A, and S strategies).
