Canada goldenrod pollinators observation 2026-08-28
收藏资源简介:
None of the flys were “house” flies. They were all more gnat like. There were three types of beetles. There were two of the “potato beetles” like in my picture, two were some form of lygus bug, maybe tarnished plant bugs, couldn’t get a good enough look at them. The final was some black round bug. Saw the iridescent damselfly again and again missed getting a picture it just disappears, lol, The damselfly wasn’t on the goldenrod, just flying around the plot of flowers. There was a big wasp and a “house’ type fly on the other goldenrod plant that I was not specifically monitoring, but as it was nearby I noticed them. There were also two honey bees and a grey native bee flying around the plot, but they didn’t go near the goldenrod.. Also a monarch butterfly flew over the polly tunnel and eastward over the farm, I wished it well on its journey.
