Lactobacillus paracasei is a member of the normal human and animal gut microbiota and is used extensively in the food industry in starter cultures for dairy products or as probiotics. We have sequenced the genomes of 34 different L. paracasei strains, and performed a comparative genomics analysis, including also three reference genomes. We analysed genome synteny and content, focussing on the pan-genome, core genome and variable genome.

副干酪乳杆菌（Lactobacillus paracasei）是人体与动物肠道正常菌群的组成成员，在食品工业中被广泛应用于乳制品发酵剂制备，或作为益生菌使用。本研究对34株不同的副干酪乳杆菌菌株完成了全基因组测序，并联合3株参考基因组开展比较基因组学分析，在解析基因组共线性与组分特征的基础上，重点围绕泛基因组、核心基因组与可变基因组展开研究。
