In this work we show a deduction of the wave equation related to the so-called gravitational waves. We will see that these waves arise naturally as solutions of the linearized Einstein equations, after choosing a suitable coordinate system (gauge). We will also discuss the generation of gravitational waves and the quadrupolar nature of gravitational radiation emitted by a binary system in circular orbit. Finally, we will apply the theory developed in the observational data of the Hulse-Taylor binary, thus obtaining notion of the values that involve this kind of event and how accurate the theory is.
本工作推导了与所谓引力波(gravitational waves)相关的波动方程。我们将看到,在选取合适的坐标规范(gauge)后,这类波可自然地作为线性化爱因斯坦场方程(linearized Einstein equations)的解出现。此外,我们还将讨论引力波的产生机制,以及做圆周运动的双星系所辐射的引力辐射的四极特性。最后,我们将本文所建立的理论应用于赫尔斯-泰勒双星系(Hulse-Taylor binary)的观测数据,从而明确此类天体事件所涉及的参数取值,并验证该理论的精确程度。
