Permafrost & remote sensing studies: 2022 field report for Point Lay, Alaska

This report describes the results and recommendations from permafrost and remote sensing activities in Point Lay, Alaska, in June 2022, including permafrost coring to characterize ice content and extent and to map terrain units; an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) survey to develop a high-resolution digital elevation model (DEM) and related products for community planning; a survey of house foundations; and interviews with community members. An appendix includes a summary of permafrost borehole data, locations of ground temperature sensors installed, a photo survey of house foundations, and a summary of interview responses.
