IODP Expedition 395C Thin section images

Hard rock and sediment thin section images were acquired using either the JRSO-developed Petrographic Image Capture and Archival Tool (PICAT) imager or (rarely) an upright microscope and a digital camera. Sample images are acquired in unpolarized, polarized, and/or cross-polarized light. Image files are presented compressed by hole.本数据集包含硬岩与沉积岩薄片图像，其采集采用JRSO研发的岩相图像捕获与归档工具（Petrographic Image Capture and Archival Tool，缩写PICAT）成像仪，极少数情况下使用正置显微镜搭配数码相机完成。样本图像分别在非偏振光、偏振光及交叉偏振光环境下获取。所有图像文件均按样品钻孔进行压缩后提供。
