The study was conducted to analyze the effect of root growth on fire blight susceptibility in apples. Multiple plants from a single M.7 apple rootstock having varying root mass were identified and used to infect with fire blight bacteria, E. amylovora. The RNA samples were collected from the control and infected leaves to perform differential expression and pathway enrichment analysis.

本研究旨在分析苹果根系生长对火疫病易感性的影响。研究人员从同一M.7苹果砧木(M.7 apple rootstock)中筛选得到根系质量存在差异的多株植株,并使用火疫病病原菌解淀粉欧文氏菌(E. amylovora)对其进行接种侵染。随后分别从对照组与接种处理组的叶片中采集RNA样本,以开展差异表达分析与通路富集分析。
