(Table) Density and biomass of phytoplankton in Vostok Bay in August and September 2010

The natural phytoplankton was monitored by means of fluorimetric equipment in Vostok Bay of the Sea of Japan. A gradual increase in the microalgae abundance was revealed in the course of the main water current, which enters the bay and leaves it. The continuous registration of chlorophyll fluorescence at a fixed point in the bay indicates the significant microscale variation of the abundance and functional state of the phytoplankton.通过荧光测定设备（fluorimetric equipment）对日本海沃斯托克湾的天然浮游植物进行了监测。研究发现，在进出海湾的主水流流动过程中，微藻丰度呈逐渐增加的态势。在海湾内固定点位对叶绿素荧光的连续记录表明，浮游植物的丰度及功能状态存在显著的微尺度变化。
