This dataset contains cross-sectional survey responses from 503 participants and interview data. The study investigates learners’ engagement in vlog-assisted informal language learning (VAILL), including use (content consumption, interactive participation, language application), vlog-related motivation (authenticity, expertise, interactivity, culture immersion), motivational beliefs (attainment value, utility value, intrinsic value, expectancy), social influence (subjective norms), willingness to share, and self-related constructs (emotional/informational support and contingent self-worth dimensions).
