For this manuscript we conducted an epigenome-wide association study of asthma exacerbations following a discovery and validation design. The discovery phase includes GEMAS study, which is divided into two subsets (312 Canary Islanders and 94 Basques). Separately summary statistics are avaliable for each subset:  "25_EWAS_GEMAS_EPIC_Exacerbations_mval_lineal_age-sex-batch-pcs-ccReFACTor_filtered.txt" for Canary Islanders and "25_EWAS_GEMAS_PV_EPIC_Exacerbations_mval_lineal_age-sex-batch-pcs-ccReFACTor_filtered.txt" for Basques including the following columns: probes: Probe ID logFC:  estimate of the log2-fold-change corresponding to the effect SE: standard error CI.L:  left limit of confidence interval for logFC CI.R:  right limit of confidence interval for logFC t: moderated t-statistic P.Value: raw p-value adj.P.Val: adjusted p-value by false discovery rate CHR: chromosome pos: genomic position based on hg38/GRCh38 UCSC_RefGene_Name: gene annotation based on Illumina EPIC Manifest file v 1.0 B4 In addition, we performed a meta-analysis whose results summary statistics output is organized in the following columns: RSID: Probe ID STUDY: number of studies or subsets were is present the probe BETA_meta:  coefficient estimate SEBETA_meta:  standard error PVALUE_meta: raw p-value  PVALUE_Q: p-value of Cochran’s Q Model: FE (fixed effect) or RE2 (random effect) PVALUE_meta_adj: adjusted p-value by false discovery rate
