This study examines the impact of employees eating during virtual meetings on observers’ perceptions of this behavior. Participants were randomly assigned to one of three eating conditions including no one eating, target eating, and everyone eating. Participants were recruited through CloudResearch (formerly TurkPrime), an online participant-sourcing platform. A total of 925 participants were recruited of which 83 were eliminated due to incomplete responses or failing attention check questions, leaving a final sample of 842.
