本数据集基于 JRC Global Surface Water (GSW) 数据,提取了 1980s‒2019 年中国区域面积大于 0.1 km² 的持续消失水体空间分布范围。研究采用自动提取结合人工判读与质量控制的方法,将持续消失水体划分为湖泊、河流、海滨和其他四种类型。数据集揭示了近二十多年我国持续消失地表水的空间特征,统计显示全国共有 3,870.53 km² 的地表水持续型消失,其中海滨型消失水体面积最大(占比约65.18%),主要分布在东部沿海地区。数据内容包括持续型消失水体的空间分布矢量数据及类型和面积统计表格数据。
This dataset is developed based on the JRC Global Surface Water (GSW) dataset, extracting the spatial distributions of permanently vanished surface water bodies with an area exceeding 0.1 km² in China from the 1980s to 2019. The study adopted a comprehensive workflow combining automatic extraction, manual interpretation and quality control, and classified the permanently vanished surface water bodies into four categories: lakes, rivers, coastal waters, and others. This dataset unveils the spatial characteristics of permanently vanished surface water in China over the past four decades. Statistical analysis reveals that a total of 3,870.53 km² of surface water has permanently vanished across the entire country. Among these, coastal vanished water bodies account for the largest share (approximately 65.18%), which are predominantly distributed in the eastern coastal areas of China. The dataset encompasses two types of data: spatial distribution vector data of permanently vanished surface water bodies, and tabular statistical data documenting their categories and corresponding areas.
