三棘鱟調查相關成果報告

三棘鱟（Tachypleus tridentatus）於 2019 年被國際自然保育聯盟（IUCN）列入瀕危物種名單，評估報告針對全亞洲三棘鱟分佈範圍，包括臺灣、⽇本、中國、香港、⾺來⻄亞、越南、印尼。幾乎所有地區族群都呈現衰退趨勢，棲地也遭受程度不等的破壞。由於鱟受到海岸開發破壞、食用、醫療試劑製造、漁業混獲、海水與海洋廢棄物污染等不同或複合因素，造成族群⻑期的衰退。鱟因此也被視為海岸泥灘溼地的健康指標物種及旗艦物種。故本計畫蒐集文獻及進行野外調查，針對全國以及地方特性的建議，建構保育行動方案。

The tri-spine horseshoe crab (Tachypleus tridentatus) was included in the Endangered Species List by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) in 2019. The IUCN assessment covers the entire Asian distribution range of Tachypleus tridentatus, including Taiwan, Province of China, Japan, China, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Indonesia. Populations in nearly all of these regions have exhibited declining trends, and their habitats have been damaged to varying degrees. Multiple or combined threats, including destruction from coastal development, harvesting for human consumption, production of medical reagents, fisheries bycatch, and pollution from seawater and marine debris, have caused the long-term population decline of this species. Tachypleus tridentatus is therefore recognized as both a health indicator species and a flagship species for coastal mudflat wetlands. Accordingly, this project collects relevant literature and conducts field surveys, and develops conservation action plans tailored to both national and local characteristics.
