柴达木盆地位于青藏高原北缘,是青藏高原内部最具代表性的沉积盆地之一,盆地内发育红色的第三系砂岩、侏罗系煤层和白垩系砾岩,其沉积地层厚度较大,所记录的古气候、古地理和古构造信息对研究青藏高原的隆升及其演化历史意义重大。对柴达木盆地野外地层的勘察,不仅有利于中生代陆地系统古气候、古地理和古构造的重建,为日后进一步研究工作的开展打下坚实基础,也有利于青藏地区煤、油、气资源的勘探、开发和利用,对于青藏地区科学考察大有裨益,同时也有望为国家重大发展战略做出贡献。本次考察对柴达木盆地内多个剖面进行了实地勘探采样,详细记录了剖面地层情况,并提供了野外照片,所有数据均来自野外实测。

The Qaidam Basin, situated on the northern margin of the Tibetan Plateau, is one of the most representative sedimentary basins within the plateau. Within this basin, red Tertiary sandstones, Jurassic coal measures, and Cretaceous conglomerates are widely developed, with sedimentary strata of considerable thickness. The paleoclimate, paleogeography, and paleotectonic information recorded by these strata are of critical significance for research on the uplift and evolutionary history of the Tibetan Plateau. Field investigations of the strata in the Qaidam Basin not only support the reconstruction of paleoclimate, paleogeography, and paleotectonic frameworks of the Mesozoic terrestrial system, laying a solid foundation for subsequent research, but also facilitate the exploration, development, and utilization of coal, oil, and natural gas resources in the Qinghai-Tibet region. This work greatly benefits scientific expeditions in this area, and is also expected to contribute to the country's major national development strategies. This field survey carried out in-situ sampling on multiple profiles within the Qaidam Basin, meticulously documented the stratigraphic details of these profiles, and provided accompanying field photographs. All datasets originate from direct field measurements.
