WATER TEMPERATURE and other data from DISCOVERY from 1987-04-20 to 1987-05-13 (NODC Accession 9200128)

The water depth and temperature data were collected in TOGA Area - Pacific (30 N to 30 S) as part of Tropical Ocean Global Atmosphere (TOGA) project from ship DISCOVERY between April 20, 1987 and May 13, 1987. The originator's bathythermograph (XBT) data containing 164 profiles were submitted by Institut Francais de Recherche pour l'Exploitation de la MER (IFREMER), Plouzane, France. The data have been converted and are now available on line in C125 Bathythermograph-XBT-Selected Depths file format of NODC.

本数据集所包含的水深与温度数据，作为热带海洋全球大气（Tropical Ocean Global Atmosphere, TOGA）项目的组成部分，于1987年4月20日至1987年5月13日期间，由“发现号”（DISCOVERY）科考船在太平洋TOGA海区（北纬30°至南纬30°）采集。法国普卢扎内的法国海洋开发研究院（Institut Francais de Recherche pour l'Exploitation de la MER, IFREMER）提交了其获取的包含164条剖面的原始投弃式温深计（bathythermograph, XBT）数据。该数据已完成格式转换，现可在线获取，采用美国国家海洋数据中心（National Oceanographic Data Center, NODC）的C125投弃式温深仪（XBT）选定深度文件格式。
