Safran-MNIST-D

This dataset contains images of serial numbers extracted from diverse avionic parts manufactured by SAFRAN, the international high-technology group and world leader operating in the aviation (propulsion, equipment and interiors), defense and space markets. This dataset resembles the well-known MNIST dataset, but with a focus to industrial contexts, encompassing variations in lighting conditions, orientations, writing styles and surface textures. 

The dataset contains 10 classes depicting numbers, from 0 to 9

August 14th, 2024 : Validation dataset containing 421 images without labels is released.

December 5th, 2024 : Testing dataset released, ground-truth labels for validation and testing released.

This dataset has been proposed in the context of ICPR24 DAGECC Competition

本数据集包含从国际高科技集团、航空（推进系统、设备与内饰）、防务及航天市场的全球领导者赛峰集团（SAFRAN）制造的各类航空航天部件上提取的序列号图像。该数据集与广为人知的MNIST数据集（MNIST）相似，但聚焦工业应用场景，涵盖光照条件、拍摄角度、书写样式与表面纹理的多样变化。

本数据集包含10个类别，对应0至9的数字。

2024年8月14日：发布无标注验证集，共包含421张图像。

2024年12月5日：发布测试集，并同步公开验证集与测试集的真值标签（ground-truth labels）。

本数据集专为ICPR24 DAGECC竞赛推出。
