MLD: A Multi-Class Maize Leaf Disease Image Dataset from Bangladesh (2025)

The Maize Leaf Disease Dataset consists of 1,996 images of maize leaves collected from an orchard in Jhenaidah, Bangladesh (23.54498°N, 89.15321°E) between February 02–09, 2026. The images include both healthy and diseased leaves categorized into four classes: Blight (489 images), Fall Armyworm (525 images), Gray Spot (555 images), and Healthy (427 images).

Images were captured using iPhone 13 and Samsung Galaxy S21 smartphones under natural sunlight conditions, with ambient temperatures ranging from 22°C to 26°C. Original images (HEIF and JPG formats; 4032×3024 and 2543×3390 pixels) were converted to JPG where necessary and resized to 640×480 pixels (72 dpi) for practical use.

The dataset includes labeled images suitable for multi-class classification, disease detection, and semantic segmentation tasks in precision agriculture and computer vision research.

玉米叶部病害数据集（Maize Leaf Disease Dataset）涵盖1996张玉米叶片图像，采集自孟加拉国杰奈达的一处果园，采集坐标为23.54498°N、89.15321°E，采集时间为2026年2月2日至9日。该数据集涵盖健康叶片与罹病叶片，共分为4个类别：叶枯病（Blight）样本489张、草地贪夜蛾虫害（Fall Armyworm）样本525张、灰斑病（Gray Spot）样本555张以及健康叶片（Healthy）样本427张。所有图像均采用iPhone 13与三星Galaxy S21智能手机在自然光照条件下拍摄，拍摄环境的环境温度范围为22℃至26℃。原始图像格式包含HEIF与JPG，分辨率分别为4032×3024像素与2543×3390像素；为适配实际应用需求，原始图像将按需转换为JPG格式，并统一调整至640×480像素（72 dpi）。该数据集包含带标注的图像样本，可用于精准农业与计算机视觉研究中的多分类、病害检测及语义分割任务。
