Within-species variations in the gut microbiome of fish are driven by the interplay between evolutionary and ecological factors

Two breeding size lines of medaka fish (Oryzias latipes) were bred in pond mesocosms under different population density and light conditions. The gut microbiotas of the fish were investigated by 16S rRNA gene sequencing in order to look for effects of line and environmental conditions.

本研究选取两个繁殖品系的青鳉鱼（medaka fish, *Oryzias latipes*）作为实验材料，将其饲养于池塘中型生态系统（pond mesocosms）中，并设置不同种群密度与光照条件开展养殖实验。随后采用16S rRNA基因测序（16S rRNA gene sequencing）技术对鱼类肠道菌群进行分析检测，旨在探究品系与环境条件对肠道菌群的影响。
